Ascalapha odorata - Black Witch
Devil's Creek, TX
This is an enormous moth nearly 6 inches from wing tip to wing tip. A primarily tropical species, they can be locally common in Texas and the Southwest. This individual was pretty beat up, but I was really excited to see it!
