About Will Chatfiield-Taylor

Bio

My name is Will Chatfield-Taylor, I'm 21 years old and currently attending the University of Kansas with a double major in Evolutionary/Systematics Biology and Mathematics. I've been taking photos all my life and have always focused on nature in all its beauty. Most of my photography has been done while in pursuit of birds, plants, bugs, or some combination of the three.

With this website I hope to attract the attention of publishers like those of field guides and textbooks, nature magazines and anyone and everyone who is interested in the beauty of nature. If you see something you like, please email me your requests. If you want to use them for educational purposes, contact me as well.

Finally, a poem I wrote that kind of illustrates how I feel about nature

Fire Bird

To light the world; a beacon in the green.

Its feathers, like contours of a jewel,
Enhance its true multi-colored splendor.
Its radiant, multitudinous hues
Of orange thwart all attempts to render

A piece of fire opal this bird must be!
It's like a glowing ember from a fire,
And when it dances in the highest trees,
Its incandescent flame doth me inspire.

It makes a burning streak across the sky,
And leaves an after-image in my eye.

Interests

Photography, Entomology, birding, nature in general (except for ticks), mathematics.
